Positioned along Wattletree Road, this double fronted Edwardian presented beautifully from the street, framed by a picturesque front garden and driveway. Behind the façade, however, the home was ready for a significant update. Low doorways, heavy stucco plaster lined walls and a dated 1990s kitchen meant the layout and finishes no longer supported the lifestyle of a young family.

Working in collaboration with AD Design, the solution was a substantial transformation. We removed the back half of the house and extended both out and up, creating a light filled, contemporary addition that complements the original structure. The reconfigured layout improves flow and connection throughout the home, balancing open plan living with practical zones for family life.

Internally, texture and detailing shape the experience of the space. Fluted glass windows soften natural light, extensive custom joinery provides cohesion and generous storage, and a striking black steel staircase forms a strong architectural feature leading to the new first floor. The overall palette feels calm, durable and timeless, designed to evolve with the family over time.

Externally, the home now delivers a complete alfresco experience. A timber lined outdoor entertaining area with a built in brick fireplace creates a warm and inviting setting for gatherings throughout the year, while the addition of a new swimming pool transforms the backyard into a true extension of the living space.
