In the heart of Hughes Street, an aging Edwardian residence, adorned with a 90s aesthetic, was begging for rejuvenation to better accommodate its incoming family. The dated 90s interior and extension were poised for replacement as we ushered in a wave of transformative upgrades.
Joining forces with the creative expertise of Aydan from Design by AD, we embarked on a journey to breathe new life into this home. Our game plan kicked off with a bang- knocking down the rear portion and orchestrating a smart expansion both upward and outward. The worn interiors were completely overhauled and reconfigured, embracing a modern colour palette featuring warm natural stones, antique bronze accents, and expansive windows that seamlessly expand the living spaces.
The double-storey extension showcases Shou Sugi timber battens, gracefully enhancing the inherent charm of this historic beauty. A large outdoor fireplace BBQ is the focal point for soirées in the redesigned alfresco area that overlooks the pool that completes the transformation.
