It’s rare we get to tackle a project this luxurious, and the fact that it was a little tricky was the icing on the cake. Just a stone’s throw from Toorak road, Caroline Street South is a monochromatic masterpiece, and is just the build we’d been looking forward to for some time. The project involved building this two level property and its basement into the ultimate entertainer’s pad.
To optimise the home for entertaining, we had to get creative with space. Building in this little one-way street and accommodating a huge basement with a car lift in place of a standard ramp was a bit of a head scratcher, but we’re all about rising to a challenge.
We’ve created an open plan living area, bespoke bathrooms and a shiny marble-clad kitchen. To get the job done, we took floor-to-ceiling windows, matte black metal cladding and curved, tiled staircases. And – because we did say this was a luxurious build – we finish the home off with a small plunge pool. It doesn’t get much more modern than that.
